The Fire Station 48 Ham Radio Equipment is installed in an operator console designed and built in 2011. It is located in the closet of the Lobby of Fire Station 48.
The following radio equipment is connected to the “13.8 Volt Buss A” through a Samlex SEC-1235M power supply: a Yaesu FT- 8900R and a Yaesu FT- 8800R.
The console has an EOC/EOC Radio connected through the”13.8 Volt Buss B” through a Samlex SEC-1235M power supply, a Vertex Standard VX-5500.
Both Power supplies and a Laptop Computer are connected to the building 120 Volt supply system and backed-up by an Emergency Generator. Buss “A” is also backed up with batteries and a PG-40S Super PWRgate battery charger.
